Black tourmaline is a crystal boron silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminium, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium. It is naturally magnetic and has pyroelectric and polarizing qualities. Deposits of this stone have been found in Africa, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Australia, Brazil and the USA.
